tRump’s opening remarks to the U.N. after being introduced by a gushing Nikki Haley were met with a frantic applause by the “Applause” sign holder. The U.N. audience did not respond.
tRump then launched into critizing the U.N. over bureacracy without the usual fire and brimstone condemnation...he stuck to his notes ...teleprompter tRump became note-reading tRump and didn’t stray too much from the written word, but his voice periodically modulated to a near fever pitch before catching himself.
The U.N. current Secretary General looked absolutely relieved that the lunacy was contained to a moderate scolding about how the U.N. has "great potential”— duh!
the clip includes Nikki Haley’s introduction stating “we had to get a bigger room!”. um…. no. this is the U.N. , not a tRump rally! sheesh!
oh, and I counted... 21 polite claps by one enthusiastic supporter and an obligatory smattering around the room starting at 2:07 and lasting until 2:11… four seconds of applause.
ok… this is just a quick heads up to let everyone know that while the “lead clapper” on the payroll didn’t get his audience to respond feevently to tRump’s “introduction” (bob barker got a MUCH more enthusiastic crowd for the price is right) so, wait and watch for the orange crybaby to let loose a tweet storm later tonight or tomorrow morning!
tRump is now walking around shaking hands with those who aren’t able to escape quickly enough. This is not what one would call a “warm” reception! what a shame that no one is covering this live on cable. It seems this is the first time tRump has ever been inside the U.N. Tomorrow is his “bigly speech”— today was “introducing” him to the members, like anyone wouldn’t recognize America’s greatest blunder and embarrassment.
Stay tuned… tomorrow, I’ll try to cover the {{{{{{{ugh}}}}}}} speech. It is scheduled for 10:30 est.
