i sell cars. really GOOD cars - at really GOOD prices! today, however, our showroom has been overrun with people who seem to think that because the markets are down, we should sell cars at below what we pay for them - take a loss because they don't want to PAY any more than an arbitrary number that has no relation to the cost of the vehicle, new or used.
there is an arrogance in these shoppers - to save a thousand dollars, they are willing to ignore three to five thousands saved in lowered interest rates. the general feeling is that because the auto industry is down, we should be happy to take ANY price they offer!
